Give your garden a re-fresh

I'm Lucy, a gardener with a passion for plants and wildlife.

I am available for private gardening jobs including; the creation of a planting plan, plant bed layout and design, and general maintenance.

I love giving gardens a new lease of life; by improving the soil, pruning and filling in those soil gaps that you are fed up with seeing in your garden with the 'right plant, right place'.

I will refresh your garden and hopefully inspire you to reconnect with your garden. Before you know it you will be happily dead-heading and watering, or maybe just sitting out in the garden and enjoying watching the bees and pollinating insects :-).

I am also available for community garden work. In my capacity as a school gardener I have built and planted gardens for my local secondary school. One is in the heart of the school, and includes an array of features to attract wildlife such as a dead hedge, insect hotel and solitary bee post.

As a school community we also grow our own food in raised beds and in a permaculture area. I run a weekly gardening club with a keen group of amateur teenage gardeners.

School Garden Diary January: 2023 To-Do and 2022 Did Do (well & not so well)

‘When we were eating our packed lunch in the garden, we picked some of the tomatoes to go with it.’ said a beaming Amelia, gardening club member

Words spoken in our first gardening club of 2023, when talking about the success of last year's Tiny Tim tomatoes. Amelia’s comment made me smile from ear to ear, as this is exactly what I feel a community garden is all about.
